Charity Fundraising Night

Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of attending the Manchester Storm Official Supporters Club Ladies Night, a night raising funds for NORFOX, the North West Children’s Charity and The Edge.

We were nominated by Emily who’s brother Ben is Manchester Storm’s No.1 fan (and also now known as Coach Ben!)

Ben completed our 12 week training programme in our café in 2018 with Learning Mentor Emily Potter. His sister Emily told us:

“We decided to put you guys forward because of the huge, positive impact that you had upon Ben, both when he worked with you in the cafe and the lasting effects, that we still see now. He loved his time with you and he really classed you all as his friends – which really brought on his social skills. He was SO excited to join you every week. He also loved learning new words and is very proud that he can say ‘cappuccino’. He really grew in confidence during his time with you. The thing that totally signed and sealed it was when we came for a visit – we felt the warmth, and friendliness and could see the care and hard work you all put in too!”
