A very special ‘Tickle Your Fancy Headliners’ night from Doolally featuring Pamela De Menthe, Matt Abbott and To!u Ajayi.

Matt Abbott

Matt Abbott is a poet, educator and activist from Wakefield. His debut one-man show ‘Two Little Ducks’ earned 5* reviews during a full Edinburgh Fringe run in 2017, which was followed by a 22-date UK theatre tour in autumn 2018. The show was accompanied by his debut poetry collection of the same name (VERVE Poetry Press).

His debut kids’ poetry collection ‘A Hurricane in my Head’ was published by Bloomsbury in July. Matt founded spoken word record label Nymphs & Thugs in spring 2015 and fronts indie band Skint & Demoralised. He blends socio-political commentary with contemporary kitchen sink realism.

To!u Ajayi

To!u is back – with Aden Peets – the drummer from Pieces of a man – Tolu’s band  who have recently performed at Band on the Wall. 

To!u Ajayi is a Manchester based Nigerian blooded spoken word, hip-hop soul artist and theatre performer passionate about pushing the visibility of queer people of colour.
