About Curator Jez Dolan
Jez Dolan is a visual Artist and performance maker based in Manchester. His practice underlines the intersections between queerness, sexuality, identity and memory.
Jez has recently shown work at: The British Museum, Birmingham City Art Gallery, Bury Art Gallery & Sculpture Centre, Gallery 78, Reykjavik Iceland, HOME, Manchester, The National Gallery Iceland, The Victoria & Albert Museum, London amongst others.
He has undertaken a wide range of commissions and residencies including, the Houses of Parliament, The Royal Drawing School and The Schwules* Museum Berlin.
He has received a number of awards from Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery Fund. He won the Cass Art Prize for his MA show ‘Magpies’ as part of New Art West Midlands at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.
Jez has work is in a number of private and public collections internationally including, The British Museum, The Government Art Collection, the Leslie Lohman Museum NYC, The Schwules* Museum Berlin and The Walker Art Gallery Liverpool.
