FAQS/ EXTRA INFORMATION
1. Do I have to sign up to the whole course?
The classes are a course and need to be paid for in advance. Unfortunately we cannot offer drop in fees. However, we do offer a taster session so you can try the class before commiting to the course (click BOOK NOW to take up this offer).
2. I have never acted before – can I come along?
Yes, we welcome everyone! Come along and see if you enjoy it.
3. I have quite a bit of experience – is this still the class for me?
As we work with young people who have varying degrees of confidence I work in a way that makes everyone in the group feel comfortable. However, there are ways for me to push participants who show an extra flare.
4. Where should I come on the day?
The group will wait for Eleanor in the reception area of The Edge.
5. What do I need to bring with me?
Nothing, but a bottle of water would be good.
6. What should I wear?
Comfy clothes and sensible shoes (i.e. no strappy sandals)
7. Do you have changing facilities?
We don’t have changing facilities, just small ladies and men’s toilets and 1 disabled toilet with a little more room, so you are best coming along in the clothes that you are planning on taking the class in.
8. What other facilities do you have?
The Dressing Room serves up a selection of cakes and snacks – as well as delicious hot and cold drinks. The Dressing Room is also a training centre for adults with learning disabilities. And because The Edge is a charity, you know that every penny you spend in The Dressing Room is going back into the work that we do with children and vulnerable adults.
9. Can I just turn up on the day and pay for the course then?
Yes, but please be aware that this course is extremely popular and spaces are taken often before the start of term. This is a course so you will need to start at the first week ideally and pay for the full course.
10. What happens is I can’t make a session?
Nothing. If you can’t make one week, that’s no problem. You can inform us at bookings@edgetheatre.co.uk who will in turn tell Eleanor.
