“For the past two years I have had a chronic illness, I got made redundant from my job 6 months ago and haven’t really left the house. During this time my confidence reached a low point, and then my friend told me about JUMP! She saw it advertised at the Job Centre. I summed up the courage to come 3 weeks ago and haven’t looked back since. JUMP! has improved my confidence and I am currently looking to become a volunteer. If you would have asked me 4 weeks ago if I would have been singing with virtual strangers and even doing a performance to an audience I would have said “no way!” I have come a long way in such a short space of time and feel like I am gaining the confidence to move forward in my life”

From each participant we find out what they’re interested in and what they would like to take part in.
JUMP! is slowly becoming an important part of participant’s lives and really making a difference.
Unemployment currently affects a lot of people in this country and these creative sessions are helping to alleviate some of the stress.
“ I’ve not had much structure in my life since being referred to a psychologist 18 years ago. JUMP! has added structure to my weekly life, it has become part of my routine since I started coming here in October. What I like about JUMP! is that it is improving my social skills and I get to meet people from all types of backgrounds/cultures and ages. Also the simple fact that it is a warm and safe place to come every week is important to me. It is also great to see people who have hidden talents that have been uncovered here at JUMP! Seeing other people develop has also been inspiring to me“
