ABOUT

Smith was only twelve and, hangings apart, had seen no more than three men murdered in all his life.

It’s London in the 1700s, Smith is sharp and streetwise – he counts highwaymen & the hangman amongst his friends. A pickpocket by trade he’s swift, stealthy and goes unnoticed, but one smog-filled night he steals from the wrong gentleman and witnesses a brutal murder. As the adrenaline kicks in he realises that the document he’s just so skilfully taken is worth killing for, if only he could read, this deadly piece of paper could change his fortune forever –but right now all Smith needs to do is run…..
