Mike Garry – poet

Mike began by reading his own poems to the hundreds of young people who attended his Library Homework Centre. They encouraged him to perform at live poetry events and Slams, which he did, instantly winning fans and prizes throughout the UK. His gritty poetry has won admiration far and wide and his collaboration with Joe Duddell and New Order in New Yorks Carnegie Hall in 2014 received five-star reviews.

Mike is championed by Philip Glass for whom he has written a libretto that premiered at the 2015 Days and Nights Festival in The Big Sur.

He has worked in thousands of schools and his three books, Men’s Morning, Mancunian Meander and God is a Manc have become schemes of work in schools throughout the UK and his poetry is regularly heard on BBC Radio and TV. He has read his poems in Prisons, Young Offenders units, Mental Health Hospitals, Children’s Homes, youth clubs and local pubs. He’s passionate about bringing live poetry to places it wouldn’t normally reach and to people who wouldn’t normally listen to it.

His performances are swirling rhythms of thoughts and emotions converted to monologues of quick-fire words.

Tracey Collins - comedian

London based comedy creator of Audrey Heartburn, Elvis Lesley, Moody Judy sings The Smiths, Feminem, Shell Suit Cher and more..

★★★★★ 'A masterpiece of elation and delight’ Robin Ince
★★★★★ 'We've got a Caroline Aherne on our hands' The Wee Review

Audrey Heartburn

Performed by award winning comic Tracey Collins, Audrey Heartburn is a dazzlingly funny musical comedy act. A chaotic parody of the Holly Golightly archetype. Longing for love and tired of the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, Audrey has set out in search of “a bit of rough” in the real world. With her hilarious songs, quick-witted comedy, and audience participation, Audrey Heartburn delivers a riotous performance that’s as captivating as it is uproarious.

★★★★★ "The queen of character comedy" To Do List

★★★★★ "The energetically engaging Collins is superb. It isn’t long before the audience is as wired as she is"

British Theatre Guide

★★★★★ "There might be no funnier celebrity (mis)impersonator on UK stages right now" Buzz Magazine
